MLB Ballparks

ABOUT

Hello, my name is Mark Anderson. I’ve been fascinated by ballparks and Major League Baseball since my dad took me to my first game. I also enjoy history, photography and architecture, I’ve enjoyed the research since they all fit together. In September of 2013 I started the @MLBcathedrals Twitter account thinking I would find a few hundred people that would enjoy learning about ballparks as I continued my research. Never in my dreams did I imagine I’d have a loyal following of close to 50,000. Along the way I’ve become great friends and affiliated with Brad Davis of DugoutLegends.com, met people like Major League Baseball’s Official Historian John Thorn, had my logo partially designed by Todd Radom, and have been asked to write the occasional article for the Sporting News. I built this website to be able to share my work with the non-Twitter world. I hope you enjoy and learn something about our great pastime. It will always be a work in progress. If you are one of my Twitter followers, thank you for your support. The interactions I’ve had have been nothing short of amazing. Thank you for the visit. I hope you interact and come back again.

Bio: I grew up in the Portland, OR and Seattle areas. I received my BA from Washington State University and I am currently working on my MBA. I received a Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army on September 23, 2014. I currently live near Savannah, GA and recently spent a year in Korea.
